What is covered
The planned warranty covers manufacturing defects in the functional hardware purchased directly from MoloWorks. For the Dev Kit, that includes the ESP32-S3 board, OLED display, button and light modules, DHT22, jumper wires, servo, ultrasonic module and bracket, RGB strip, USB data cable, speaker, and I2S amplifier. A defect must arise during normal educational use and materially prevent the part from operating as described.
If a product arrives damaged, has missing parts, or is not what was ordered, use the arrival-issue process in the shipping & returns policy. Those cases do not reduce the 12-month warranty period.
How MoloWorks will make it right
After reasonable troubleshooting confirms a covered defect, MoloWorks may provide a replacement component, repair, replace the product, or issue a refund when another remedy is not practical. The remedy will be provided without a restocking fee. MoloWorks will supply or reimburse approved return shipping when the defective item must be sent back.
How to request warranty help
- Use the support channel listed on the order receipt or the Support page.
- Provide the order number, affected part, a short description, and clear photos or video when helpful.
- Complete safe remote troubleshooting if requested. Do not continue using a hot, swollen, smoking, or visibly damaged part.
- Wait for return authorization before mailing hardware. The instructions will include the approved shipping method when MoloWorks covers the cost.
What is not covered
- Damage caused by incorrect wiring, reverse polarity, overvoltage, unsuitable power supplies, liquid, impact, fire, or other misuse.
- Unauthorized repair, soldering, cutting, or modification that caused the failure.
- Normal cosmetic wear, packaging or printed stickers, loss, or theft. Functional kit components remain covered for manufacturing defects during the stated period.
- Products bought from another seller, unless that seller provides separate written MoloWorks warranty terms.
- Software, third-party services, or incompatibility with a computer that does not meet the published requirements.
A modification unrelated to the defect will not automatically cancel coverage. MoloWorks will explain the evidence connecting an exclusion to a denied claim.
Consumer rights
This limited warranty provides specific remedies and does not replace rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer law. The final policy will identify the seller and required contact information before checkout opens.
