Terms & conditions
Plain-language terms for families and makers.
These draft terms explain the planned rules for adult accounts, purchases, educational hardware, free resources, and 1:1 online instruction.
Checkout and booking are not open. These terms are not a purchase agreement; the final version will identify the seller, governing law, contact details, and effective date before a customer can accept it.
Draft date: October 13, 2026
1. Adult purchaser and accounts
Purchases, paid bookings, and customer accounts are for people age 18 or older. A parent or legal guardian must purchase and manage services for a student under 18. Students can use the free learning materials without creating an account or providing an email address.
When account access opens, the purchaser must provide accurate information, protect sign-in credentials, and promptly report unauthorized access. MoloWorks may pause an account when reasonably necessary to protect the customer or service.
2. Products, prices, and order acceptance
Product pages will describe included parts, computer requirements, availability, and important limitations. Prices are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise. Shipping and tax will be shown before payment. MoloWorks may correct an obvious price, inventory, or description error before accepting an order and will offer cancellation and a full refund if payment was already authorized.
An order acknowledgement confirms receipt of the request. A separate order confirmation indicates acceptance. Product images may include prototypes, props, or project examples; each page will identify what is included.
3. Payment
Card payments are planned through Stripe. The payment provider processes card information under its own terms and privacy notice; MoloWorks does not plan to store full card numbers. Payment must be authorized before an order or paid lesson is confirmed.
4. Shipping, delivery, returns, and warranty
U.S. fulfillment planned for launch. Destinations, charges, estimates, carrier terms, and tax will be shown at checkout. Title and risk-of-loss language will be finalized with the fulfillment arrangement before sales open.
The planned customer policies provide a 30-day return window with no restocking fee for eligible returns and a 12-month limited hardware warranty for manufacturing defects. The versions accepted at checkout will apply to the purchase.
5. Electronics and learning safety
MoloWorks products are educational electronics, not toys for unsupervised young children. Follow the supplied voltage, wiring, battery, tool, heat, and moving-part instructions. Disconnect power before changing wiring. Stop using a component that is hot, swollen, smoking, leaking, or visibly damaged.
An adult must supervise when a learner's age, experience, project, or local rules call for it. Soldering, mains power, lithium battery work, and cutting tools require appropriate adult control and are outside a beginner activity unless expressly included with safety instructions.
6. 1:1 lessons and bookings
A parent or guardian must book for a learner under 18 and remain reachable during the session. The service is educational guidance; a particular project outcome, competition result, or level of mastery is not guaranteed. Students need the computer, internet connection, hardware, and preparation listed for the lesson.
- A booking may be cancelled or rescheduled without charge at least 24 hours before its start time.
- A cancellation within 24 hours or a missed session normally uses that session credit. MoloWorks may make a reasonable exception for an emergency.
- If MoloWorks cancels, the customer may reschedule or receive a refund for the affected unused session.
- A 30-session package includes 30 sessions of 40 minutes. Scheduling remains subject to instructor availability and any validity period clearly disclosed before purchase.
- Sessions will not be recorded unless the adult purchaser and instructor expressly agree in advance.
7. Free resources, student work, and third-party content
MoloWorks learning materials may be used for personal and classroom learning unless a download states a different license. MoloWorks names, branding, page design, original text, and media may not be republished or sold without permission. Students keep ownership of their original projects and code.
Some lessons link to or use third-party software, videos, libraries, AI services, or documentation. Those providers set their own terms, privacy rules, age limits, availability, and licenses. A link does not make MoloWorks responsible for the third-party service.
8. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the site, interfere with another account, test security without written permission, upload malicious code, infringe another person's rights, or use lessons to create unsafe or unlawful devices. MoloWorks may restrict access for a material violation and will explain the reason when practical.
9. Disclaimers and limits
To the extent permitted by law, the website and free materials are provided as available, and project results depend on the user's equipment, setup, code, and safe operation. MoloWorks does not exclude responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer rights and responsibility for its own covered product defects.
The final terms will state any legally permitted limits on indirect or consequential loss in language reviewed for the seller's jurisdiction. No draft limitation here reduces the stated return policy, limited hardware warranty, or non-waivable rights.
10. Changes, law, and contact
MoloWorks may update site content and future terms. A material change will not retroactively reduce an accepted order's return or warranty rights. The final version will state its effective date and the governing law and venue associated with the seller's verified legal entity.
Before sales open, the legal seller name, mailing address, and direct support contact will appear on this page and the Support page.
